I am a warm, caring and professional person with 35 years of experience working successfully with individuals of all ages, couples and families on a wide range of issues.  I am a Clinical Psychologist and Marital/Family Therapist trained in a range of therapeutic techniques and ideas; this enables me to consider a person's difficulties from a number of perspectives and to offer therapy based on a person's needs and on current research evidence. I have a PhD in Social Anthropology which I obtained after becoming a therapist as I wanted to specialize in cultural issues which I combined with the study of trauma. I have worked within the NHS, with NGOs in the UK and abroad and privately both in my consultation room and online. I am also a Social Anthropologist and a specialist in cultural issues and trauma.

I am registered with and work according to the code of ethics of the Health & Care Professions Council (the independent government-appointed regulator of psychologists in the UK)  the British Psychological Society (BPS) UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the Association for Family Therapy (AFT). This means you can expect the highest standards of psychological and therapeutic knowledge and expertise.
